Each enemy has a weak spot to fist, palm or sword. Pick the right move for more damage; pick wrong and you get countered. Read the enemy's tell to dodge. A cartoon boss appears every five rounds and needs a read-and-break combo.

Honest thoughts after a week of playing
Text-based strategy. No graphics, no animations, just text and numbers. Looks like something from the 80s. But that “bare-bones” quality makes it immersive—because your brain fills in the visuals. I got stuck on a boss for about five rounds. First four rounds I just stacked attack power, and the boss wiped me with an AOE every time. On the fifth round I actually read the boss description and found hints about its weakness. Adjusted my lineup. Won. In that moment I felt like a real hero—not because I won, but because I understood.
