Drop Four
Drop a piece into a column. Connect 4 in a row (horizontal, vertical, diagonal) to win.
How to play
The board is 7 columns by 6 rows. You and the AI alternate placing pieces by clicking a column — pieces fall to the lowest empty cell. The first player to connect 4 same-color pieces in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line wins. If all 42 cells fill without a winner, it's a draw.
Strategy
Prioritize the center column (column 4) — it participates in the most connect-lines. Watch for "double threats" — positions where you create two lines at once; opponent can only block one, you win the other. The mark of an expert.
About the AI
Easy: 2-ply search, only evaluates own wins, often misses your threats.
Medium: 3-ply search, balanced offense/defense, occasional mistakes.
Hard: 4-ply with alpha-beta pruning. Wins most games unless you're seasoned.
